Cops launch search for missing Aberdeen schoolgirl after ‘sighting’ in city centre

Cops in Aberdeen have launched a search for a missing schoolgirl after she was potentially sighted in the centre of the city.

Police are appealing to the public for help in tracing 13-year-old Leah Dixon who was last seen on Monday night in the Manor Avenue area.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish her current whereabouts but potential sightings have been reported so far on Union Street on Tuesday afternoon and Summerfield Terrace on Tuesday night.

Leah was last seen wearing a khaki green jacket with a fluffy hood and khaki-coloured Nike trainers.

She is described as being around 5ft 2in with dyed bright red hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 0508 of May 28.
