Fireun Hunter was last seen by his sister at their house near the Whiting Bay area around 11.15pm on Saturday March 30.

The 17-year-old was not at the address the following morning and then failed to show up for work later in the day.

Chief Inspector Brian Shaw from Irvine Police Station said: “Fireun’s family are extremely worried about him and it is vital that officers trace him as soon as possible.

“I am calling on the community of Arran to assist the police, by keeping an eye out for Fireun and checking their gardens and outbuildings.

“I would also appeal directly to Fireun to please get in touch to let someone know that he is ok. His family are extremely distressed at his disappearance, which is very out of character, and want him to come back home.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Irvine Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3664 on Sunday 31 March 2019.”
