Cops launch search for injured man hit by car in relation to attempted murder probe in Glasgow

Police have launched a search for a man hit by a car in relation to an attempted murder probe in Glasgow.

The incident happened around 6.25pm on Thursday, June 10 on Sandbank Street in the Maryhill area.

The victim was hit by a Ford Focus car.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to the incident and has been released on undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Searches to trace the injured man are ongoing.

He has been described as being aged 18-21, around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and was wearing a blue tracksuit. He is believed to have sustained a head injury as a result of the incident and was walking with a limp.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Palmer, of Maryhill CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the victim of this incident and we are looking for the public’s assistance to trace him.

“We believe the victim sustained injuries as a result of the incident and we want to ensure he is okay.

“We are keen to speak to the victim and would urge him or anyone with information to contact police via 101, quoting incident 2876 of 10 June.”
