Cops have launched a probe after a woman's 'unexplained' death at a Scots pub.
Emergency services raced to Harbour Bar on William Street, in Gourdon, at around 12:45am on Sunday, August 22.
Police were alerted by paramedics to the scene where a 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead a short time later.
In an update to customers on Sunday, Gourdon's Harbour Bar wrote: "Dear Customers and Friends,
"Following an unfortunate incident in the Harbour Bar, out of respect for the family concerned, we will be closed until further notice.
"We hope to reopen later in the week."
The woman's death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a premises in William Street, Gourdon, around 12.45am on Sunday, 22 August, by the ambulance service.
"A 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead a short time later and the death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Customers have flooded the pub's social media with messages of condolence after the news.
One said: "So sad, thinking of all the family."
Another added: "Thinking about the family at this sad time."
