Cops launch probe after 'unexplained' death of man in Falkirk

Cops have started an investigation after the body of a man was found within a house in Falkirk.

Emergency services were called to Gairdoch Street in Bainsford shortly after 11.30am on Wednesday January 5.

The 38-year-old’s death is currently being treated as unexplained by officers, who say enquires into what happened are ongoing.

Police remained outside the property late last night.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received report of concern for a person at a property on Gairdoch Street in Falkirk around 11.35am on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022.

"Officers attended and a 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
