A murder probe has been launched in the Lambhill area of Glasgow after a body of a man was found in a common close there.
Police were called to Knapdale Street in the Lambhill area in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The alarm was raised after a man was found injured within a common close.
The 33-year-old man was pronounced dead upon the arrival of emergency services and police later confirmed that a 26-year-old man had been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
Cops have now confirmed they are treating the death as murder.
Detective Inspector Peter Crombie, senior investigating officer, said: "I want to reassure the community that we are treating this as an isolated incident.
"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information surrounding what happened to contact us."
