Scots schoolgirl who vanished after being spotted on Edinburgh bus traced

Police Scotland have confirmed a missing Edinburgh teen has now been traced safe and well.

Mary MacAuley, 13, had last been seen on a Lothian bus on Saturday, October 8, on Ferry Road in the capital.

Concerns were growing for the teen's welfare as she had not been seen or been in contact with loved ones in over two days, though she had been active on social media.

Sergeant Davie Crow, of Drylaw Police Station, Edinburgh, had urged anyone with information to get in touch.

This morning, the force confirmed Mary had been found.
