Cops launch fresh appeal after attempted knife robbery at East Kilbride store

Detectives have issued a fresh appeal for information following an attempted knife robbery at a Greenhills convenience store.

Two female shop workers were left terrified when a balaclava-clad man stormed My Local Store in Cedar Drive at around 7.10pm on Wednesday, March 27.

He produced a knife and assaulted a 40-year-old staff member while demanding money.

The suspect then left the premises empty-handed and made off in the direction of St Andrew’s Methodist Church.
