Cops launch attempted murder probe after late night Glasgow incident

Cops have launched an attempted murder probe after a late night incident in Glasgow.

Police raced to the city's Dalmarnock Road, in the Bridgeton area, at around 2.55am after reports of a man injured.

The 31-year-old has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is recovering from his injuries.

Police are treating the incident as an attempted murder.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 2.55am on Sunday, 6 September, police were called to a report of a man injured on Dalmarnock Road, near to Megan Street, Bridgeton. The 31 year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for his injuries.

“Detectives are currently carrying out enquiries in the area and the incident is being treated as attempted murder.


“Anyone with information that may assist the investigation should contact Shettleston Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 0609 of 6 September.”
