Cops launch appeal to track down man attacked by two thugs in Glasgow

Police have launched an appeal in a bid to track down a man who was attacked by two thugs in Glasgow.

Officers from Police Scotland were alerted to the incident on Argyle Street, near to Hope Street in the city centre at around 4.35pm on Saturday, June 13.

The victim, described as aged between 45-55 years-old, was helped by members of the public, but had vanished when officers attended the scene.

Now detectives are appealing to anyone who may have information over the assault that could help them track down the victim.

He is described as being medium build. He was wearing a black beanie hat with white writing, a navy hooded top, dark blue jeans and black trainers with white soles.

He was carrying an orange plastic bag.

Detective Lambie from City Centre Police Office said: “We have been carrying out enquiries and gathering CCTV footage to help us gather information on those involved."

“I would appeal to the victim of the assault to come forward to officers, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident take place to contact us.”

Information can be passed to City Centre Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 2533 of 13th June.
