Cops launch appeal to find missing woman who vanished from Lanarkshire town

Cops are appealing for information to find a missing woman who vanished from her home in Lanarkshire at the weekend.

Carrie Anne Brown was last spotted by her family at her house in Bargeddie at around 8.45am on Saturday morning.

Officers from Police Scotland believe the 36-year-old was travelling to Glasgow at the time of her disappearance.

She is described as 5'8" tall, slim and was wearing a dark Berghaus jacket & jogging trousers.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Carrie Anne Brown. Last seen at home by family, 8.45am Saturday 7 December 2019 and was travelling to Glasgow.

"Carrie is 5'8" tall, slim & was wearing a dark Berghaus jacket & jogging trousers .

"Please provide info via 101 quoting incident 2965 of 8/12."
