Cops in a Scots seaside town say they have issued 10 fines to lockdown rule flouters.
Police in Oban have issued a warning saying it was “disappointing” how many fines had been issued.
They reminded Scots that travelling from a tier four area to a tier two area for a holiday was not permitted under the current coronavirus guidelines.
They tweeted: “Disappointing to note that 10 FPN tickets have been issued over the weekend for breach of #Covid19 travel regulations.
“You cannot travel from tier 4 to tier 2 for a holiday. #FollowTheRules”.
Oban, as part of Argyll and Bute local authority area, is in tier two of the five-part restriction system.
Neighbouring council West Dunbartonshire is in tier four – the highest level of restrictions – along with most of the central belt.
Tier four areas have seen all bars, restaurants and cafes close along with none essential shops and businesses.
In Tier two areas, bars and restaurants can open but alcoholic drinks can only be served with the purchase of a main meal.
All venues have a curfew of 8pm indoors and 10.30pm outdoors.
