Cops in plea for man missing after road smash

Police in Paisley are making an urgent appeal to trace a man missing following a road smash last week.

David Roach, 32, is believed to have been involved in a road crash on Stanley Road, in the town, at around 9.20am on Saturday, February 27. However, he left the scene prior to police arrival and has not been seen since.

There is growing concern for David’s welfare and it is unknown if he sustained any injuries from the crash.

Over the past week Police Scotland officers have been conducting a number of inquiries to trace him but his current whereabouts remain unknown.

David is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with brown hair.

When last seen he was clean shaven and wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and shorts.

Inspector Tracy Harkins, at Mill Street Police Station, said: “We urgently need to know that David is okay. While we believe he walked away from the crash, it is not known if he was injured and could have become unwell later.

“We’d ask anyone who has seen, or spoken to David in the past week, or who knows of his current whereabouts, to contact officers as soon as possible. If David sees this appeal then we’d also urge him to let us know that he is safe.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 and quoting incident number 1092.
