Cops in Lanarkshire launch appeal to trace missing man

Police in Lanarkshire have launched an appeal for help in tracing a missing man.

Stephen Clark was last seen at his work in the Gorbals area of Glasgow around 7.15pm on Tuesday (April 6).

The 45-year-old, from Newarthill, is described as a white, around 5ft 7in tall, with short brown hair and green eyes.

Sergeant Stewart Masson told Lanarkshire Live: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Stephen’s welfare and are asking for assistance to help trace him safe and well.

“He may have travelled to the Renfrewshire or Ayrshire areas later in the evening and we would ask anyone who may have noticed someone matching this description to get in touch with officers.”

When he was last seen, Stephen was wearing navy blue cargo trousers, a navy blue jumper and polo shirt with a ‘city’ logo.

He had on black work boots and may have been wearing a grey hat and high vis vest.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
