Cops in Glasgow's Shettleston probing brawl outside football ground

Police have launched an investigation into a brawl outside a Scots football stadium.

Officers were called to the scene, which is outside Shettleston Juniors ground, in Glasgow, early this morning.

More than half a dozen emergency service vehicles raced to the scene in Old Shettleston Road, with police and ambulance vehicles in attendance.

Part of the street, in the city's Shettleston area, was cordoned off by officers, and blocked off by vehicles, as officers investigated the circumstances.

Forensic officers, clad in white suits, were seen scouring the area for clues to what had happened, while a number of uniformed officers were seen standing guard at the cordon and speaking to people on the street.

And officers remain at the scene as the probe into the incident continues.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.45 am this morning, Sunday, March 7, 2021, police were called to a disturbance on Old Shettleston Road, Shettleston, Glasgow.
