Cops hunting teen who coughed in health worker's face appeal for dash-cam footage

Police hunting a teen thug who coughed in the face of a healthcare worker are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.

We told how the culprit flagged down the woman's car on Friday and coughed "directly in her face" before telling her that she would now have coronavirus.

The boy - thought to be aged between 13 and 16 - was sitting on the ground on the unclassified road from Inchmarlo Golf Course to Brathens Wood in Banchory, Aberdeenshire, when he directed her to stop at around 1.40pm.

A Police Scotland statement said: "He then ran off into the woods laughing, where he is believed to have joined a group of other youths."

The boy is around 5ft 6in, slim and had a local accent.

He was wearing a light grey hoodie, a black jacket and black or dark blue joggers.

In particular officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage from along that road concerned between noon and 2pm.

Anyone with information who has not yet been in touch should also come forward.
