Cops hunt woman after assault near Dumbarton pub

Cops have released images of a woman they want to speak to after an assault which left another woman needing hospital treatment.

It happened in High Street, Dumbarton on September 1, last year.

Officers from Police Scotland say the woman may be "able to assist with their enquiries" into the assault.

It took place near the Burgh bar at around 1.05am on a Sunday morning.

Police are asking for help in tracing the woman (Police Scotland)

The victim, thought to be a woman pensioner, was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.

The images were released by Police Scotland's Argyll and West Dunbartonshire division today, July 5.

In a statement, Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland is appealing for any information, or for anyone who recognises the woman to make contact via 101, quoting reference number 2865 of 1 September 2019.

"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800555111, where anonymity can be maintained."
