Cops hunt vile thug who spat in woman's face on Scots street

A vile yob spat in a woman's face and them pushed her over as she strolled with a pal.

The lout launched his sickening attack at around 10pm on Bonfire Night in Sinclair Street, Helensburgh.

He then followed the woman and man to the train station, continuing to intimidate them with the rest of a bike-riding gang.

An Argyll & West Dunbartonshire Police Division Facebook post stated: "A female and male were approached by 4-5 males riding bikes on Sinclair Street in Helensburgh.

"It is alleged one of the males has spat on the female's face and then pushed her to the ground.

Both the woman and man fled before reporting their ordeal to police later.

The Argyll & West Dunbartonshire Police Division statement added: "Enquiries are ongoing to trace the group in question but any witnesses to this incident please call 101 and quote ref LA01671120."

"The group then followed the female and male to Helensburgh train station where they have allegedly continued to intimidate both of them."
