Cops are hunting for a thug after nails were thrown at a primary school in Moray .
Officers from Police Scotland are appealing for information following the incident at New Elgin Primary, Elgin at around 2.45pm on Monday, March 9.
The alarm was raised after a member of the public called cops about the incident on Bezack Street .
Detectives have now launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
PC Fiona MacKinnon from the nationwide force said: "Nails pose a risk to vehicles, children and other road users.
"I urge anyone who saw anything suspicious to call 101 ref 2018 of 10 March."
