Cops are hunting two thieves who left staff 'terrified' after stealing cash from a Glasgow petrol station in the early hours.
The incident happened at around 12.30am on Monday when two men targeted the Esso Londis on Balmore Road.
The thieves threatened staff before heading in the direction of Ashgill Road with a three-figure sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
One man involved is described as white, around 30 years old, of average height and of stocky build.
He was wearing a light grey hooded top with a blue logo, dark grey Nike jogging bottoms, black trainers, a black skip cap, black glove and a black face mask.
The second man is described as white, also around 30-years-old and of average height, and of slim build.
He was wearing a black rain jacket, black tracksuit bottoms with a red and white vertical stripe on the leg and a blue and white face mask.
Police are urging anyone who may have dash-cam footage or who was in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.
Detective Constable Fiona MacKenzie said: “Fortunately no one was injured but this was a terrifying experience that left a member of staff fearing for her safety.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area both before and after the incident to get in touch. Similarly, if you have dash-cam footage that may help with our investigation then please contact us.
“Anyone who can help is asked to get in touch via 101, quoting incident number 0085 of Monday, 27 September, 2021 or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
