Police have started a manhunt after thieves broke into Falkirk High School and stole a minibus.

Officers were alerted to the theft last Wednesday November, 24, when staff realised it had gone from Westburn Avenue.

The vehicle was later found in the Battlefield Road area of Glasgow.

Cops say that enquiries are ongoing into the incident and are asking anyone who might have witnessed anything suspicious to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that enquiries are ongoing into a break-in and the theft of a minibus from Falkirk High School, which was reported on Wednesday, 24 November.

"The bus was later recovered in the Battlefield Road area of Glasgow."
