Cops hunt thieves after items are stolen from van in Grangemouth

Cops are on the hunt for thieves after a number of items were stolen from a parked van in Grangemouth over the weekend.

The incident is reported to have happened on Wavell Street in the town between 6pm on Saturday and midday on Sunday.

Items taken from the white Vauxhall van are believed to be a wallet with banks cards and a Canada Goose jacket.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are carrying out enquiries after items were taken from a white Vauxhall van between 6pm on Saturday, 8 January, and 12 noon on Sunday, 9 January, in Wavell Street, Grangemouth.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 1278 of Sunday, 9 January."
