Cops hunt sex creep with 'purple eyes' who assaulted young man on Scots train

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young man was sexually assaulted on a train by a creep wearing purple contact lenses.

The shocking incident took place on board the Carlisle to Dumfries service at around 9.15pm on Saturday, August 28.

The suspect, who was wearing Chanel braces over his top, is described as being a white male, aged between 40-50, of a slim build with short grey hair.

Officers believe he was wearing a white shirt, black trousers, Dr Martens boots and purple coloured contact lenses.

A British Transport Police spokesperson added: “At the time the service was busy with passengers, officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to help their investigation.

“Witnesses or anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 695 of 28/08/21.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
