Cops hunt Rangers scarf man after fan receives head injury at Pittodrie clash

Police have released pictures of a man they want speak to after a fan was injured when Aberdeen took on Rangers in a Scottish Cup fixture.

Officers investigating the incident revealed the victim was taken to hospital with a head injury shortly after the end of the match at Pittodrie on Sunday, March 3.

The man is thought to be in his 20s with very short fair hair and was wearing a Rangers scarf and a black and grey jacket.

Cops believe he may be able to help with the investigation.

PC Tom Bashforth urged anyone who recognises the man to get in touch.

He said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who recognises the man pictured to contact police."
