Cops hunt 'owners' of £1.1million stash of drugs found in Glasgow flat

Police are searching for the "owners" of a stash of drugs with a street value of more than £1 million which was seized during a raid in Glasgow.

At around 2.05pm on Thursday, officers were made aware of a large amount of substances inside a flat in , .

They recovered around 4.5kg of what is believed to be heroin and a large quantity of tablets, suspected to be Etizolam.

Inquiries are ongoing to trace the "owners" of the drugs, which have an estimated street value of .

Detective Inspector said: "This is a significant seizure and will cause a huge disruption to someone's criminal activity.

"We are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area for any information on who these drugs belong to.

"We are acutely aware of the harmful effects drugs have on the people, families and the wider community.

"We will continue to target those involved in drug dealing and production and we do so with the help and co-operation of the public and our partners.

"Everyone can be assured that any information passed to police regarding drugs will be acted upon."
