Cops hunt masked man after woman approached while parking her car on Aberdeen street

Cops are hunting a masked thug after a woman was approached while she parked her car in Aberdeen.

The woman was parking her vehicle on Short Loanings in the Rosemount area of the city when a male walked up to her.

Officers from Police Scotland received the call following the incident at around 12.30am on Saturday morning.

The man was wearing a white mask and dark clothes during the incident.

Police are now urging anyone who may have been in the area or saw what happened to contact them.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police were called around 12.30am on Saturday January 26 following a report of a person approaching a vehicle wearing a white mask on Short Loanings, Aberdeen.

"Officers searched the area, but there was no trace of the person. Inquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone who can assist the police in the investigation should phone 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
