Cops hunt four masked brutes after man battered and robbed in Livingston flat

Cops are hunting for four masked men after a man was assaulted and robbed in an unprovoked attack.

The group forced their way into a property in Livingston's Craigshill area between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday, February 22.

A 62-year-old man was left with a minor facial injury with several items stolen from the flat on Forth Drive.

The brutes were wearing dark clothes with their faces covered with balaclava type hats.

It is believed they may have got into a silver hatchback car and made off.

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander, of West Lothian CID, said: "This was a callous, unprovoked attack which has left the man involved injured and badly shaken.

"I would ask anyone who was in the Forth Drive area of Craigshill and saw anything suspicious around the time of this incident to get in touch.

"Likewise, anyone who has information that may help in our investigation should call West Lothian CID on 101, quoting incident number 4536 of Saturday, 22 February, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
