Cops hunt driver after shopper hurt in hit-and-run in Scots Lidl car park

Cops are hunting a driver after a pedestrian was hit outside a Scots supermarket.

The victim was walking across the Lidl car park on South Road, Dundee, at around 1pm on Thursday, November 19 when the hit-and-run took place.

He was struck by a blue 07 plate Peugeot 207 which failed to stop.

As a result of the incident the pedestrian suffered a minor leg injury.

Officers from Police Scotland have now launched an appeal to find the driver of the Peugeot car.

A statement read: "The driver of the Peugeot did not stop and drove away.

"Although he suffered a knee injury, the pedestrian was not badly hurt and did not require hospital treatment.

"The store and car park were busy at this time and we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any part of this incident."
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 1702 of November 19.
