A clash between two dog walkers left a man battered and bruised on a footpath.
The 53-year-old victim was attacked as he walked his pooch near Blantyre Drive, Bishopton, on Sunday morning.
It is understood he was approached by another dog walker around 10am before the violence erupted.
The victim was repeatedly punched on the head and body and then dragged to the ground in the mindless rammy.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 60s or 70s, of stocky build, bald with a grey beard and wearing a grey top. He is now wanted by cops in connection with the incident.
Police said the victim was left badly shaken by the incident but did not need medical treatment.
They have now launched a manhunt for the thug who carried out the assault and are appealing for the public’s help to catch him.
Officers are checking for CCTV opportunities in the area in a bid to identify the suspect.
Inspector Damian Kane, from Renfrewshire’s community policing team, appealed for witnesses to come forward.
He said: “A 53-year-old man was assaulted as he walked on a footpath near Blantyre Drive in Bishopton at around 10am on Sunday.
“The suspect then made off from the scene.
“The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault however he did not require medical
treatment.”
He added: “The assault appears to have taken place following a verbal altercation between the victim and the suspect.”
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch with officers.
“If you saw a man matching the description nearby, again, we would like to hear from you.
“Similarly, if you have CCTV covering the area we would ask you to contact police.”
