Cops hunt attack thugs after couple brutally beaten at Glasgow pub

Police are hunting thugs who attacked a man and a woman at a Glasgow pub.

The pair were set upon at the Clachan Bar in the city's Baillieston Road shortly before midnight on Saturday, September 21.

The man was received a serious head injury outside the boozer and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary , where the woman was treated for a minor facial injury.

Detective Constable Lyn Stewart from Shettleston police office is keen to trace two men in connection with the incident.

One is described as 50-60 years old, 5ft 6ins in height, stockily built, bald and wearing dark rimmed glasses, a dark polo shirt with white stripes, long denim shorts and light coloured trainrs.

The second man is 30-40 years old, 5ft 10ins tall, with a medium build and bald. He was wearing a light blue polo shirt, light coloured shorts and white trainers.

She said: "The Clachan Bar was relatively busy on the night this assault took place with a number of people still on the premises prior to closing time.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the bar and witnessed these assaults, or has any information about them."
