Cops hunt armed robber who raided Johnstone shop before fleeing on a bike

A cyclist made off on his bike with a three-figure sum after robbing a shop in Johnstone.

The One-0-One store in Kilbarchan Road was held up at 9.30pm on Sunday.

The man arrived at the store on his pedal bike.

He threatened staff with a weapon and made off with a three-figure sum.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Stephen Lessels said: “A male arrived at the shop on a bike then went inside.

“He threatened the store staff with a weapon and made off with a three-figure sum. He arrived and left very quietly.

“We’ve been studying CCTV and we know the area was busy at the time.

“We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage to get in touch.”

The man was wearing a red jacket and was on a bike.
