Cops' frantic search for missing Scots girl, 14, who vanished from Livingston

Police have launched a frantic search for a missing Scots teenager after she vanished from home.

Courtney Leigh Simpson, 14, was last seen in the Granby Avenue area of Livingston at around 10.45am yesterday morning.

The youngster is described as being around 5ft 5in in height, of slim build with long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a long white puffer coat with a fur hood, black trousers and black ankle boots.

Police in West Lothian are appealing for information to help trace the teenager and officers say they believe she may have travelled to Manchester.

Sergeant Graeme Johnston, of Lothian and Borders Police Division, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Courtney or anyone with any information on her whereabouts to get in touch.

“We believe she may have travelled to the Manchester area.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0710 of March 4.
