Cops 'following positive line of enquiry' in bid to identify body found in Scots loch

Police are still working to identify the body of a man found in a Scots loch a week ago.

Emergency services raced to Lochan Na Craoibhe in Glencoe after the alarm was raised at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 29.

Officers are continuing their investigations to identify the man, however, they say they are now "following a positive line of enquiry".

The death is not being treated as suspicious. Cops say a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

Detective Inspector Andy Bilton said: "We have had a good response to our appeal and we are grateful to everyone who has been in touch, and have been keen to help us identify the man.

"Our investigation remains ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.

"I would like to thank the public for their response to the initial appeal.”
