Cops find 'cannabis cultivation' inside Scots flat after robbery which left man injured

Police in Falkirk investigating a robbery which left a man injured are understood to have discovered a cannabis cultivation within the property.

Officers were called to a flat in Bowhouse Road in Grangemouth at around 12:15am on Monday May, 10, after reports it had been robbed.

A 37-year-old man suffered minor injuries during the incident and cops say they're on the hunt for five people seen in the area around that time.

A white car and van were also spotted driving about.

The Record understands a number of cannabis plants have since been found inside the house and that the victim was robbed of cash.

Last night, officers were seen knocking on doors as they carried out enquiries with forensics also in attendance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.15am on Monday, 10 May, officers received a report of a robbery at a property in the Bowhouse Road area of Grangemouth. The victim, 37-year-old man, sustained minor injuries as a result.

"Enquiries have established that five people were seen in the area, along with a white car and a van which left the street shortly after the robbery.

"Officers are following a positive line of enquiry and have asked for anyone with any information, or who saw anything suspicious in the Bowhouse Road area overnight, to please call 101 quoting incident 0031 of 10 May. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous."
