LUCKNOW: Police and security personnel deployed at various polling booths won hearts by playing Good Samaritans to the differently abled and elderly people on Wednesday. At Shia College, the sight of policemen helping an elderly woman on a wheelchair drew applause from people.
At a primary school in Chandganj, a cops helped Krishna Awasthi, an 80-year-old voter, to cast her vote.
Similarly, a police constable not only helped a senior citizen cross the road but also took him to a polling centre in Gomtinagar. At other polling stations, cops offered water to elderly people and helped them find their booth.
