Cops descend on Glasgow street after 'sudden' death of man

Cops have descended on a Glasgow street after the 'sudden' death of a man.

Officers raced to Hinshaw Street in the Maryhill area of the city at around 3.15pm today following a report that a 59-year-old man had died. 

His death is being treated as unexplained at this time but there are thought to be no suspicious circumstances.

 A Police Scotland spokesman said a report would be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

He said: “Around 3.15pm on Thursday, 5 November, officers were called to the Hinshaw Street area of Glasgow following the sudden death of a 59-year-old man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, however there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

On social media locals reported seeing a police presence in the area following the man's death.
