Cops cordon off wooded area near Hamilton town centre as officers swarm area

Detectives have cordoned off a wooded area near Hamilton town centre.

Officers have also shut nearby Cadzow Street and can be seen guarding the area.

Police tape has blocked off the road along which runs near urban green space area Cadzow Glen.

Investigations have been on-going throughout the day.

The nature of the incident being investigated is unknown at present.

Police Scotland said: "Officers are currently in attendance at Cadzow glen Hamilton. Enquires are on going."
