Emergency services rushed to the scene on Hawthorn Street in the Springburn area at around 1.35am on Sunday, March 6.

Witnesses said a SUV had been involved in the incident, with airbags deployed in the vehicle.

The bonnet of the car was also bent out of shape and the bumper was smashed following the crash.

Both Hawthorn Street and adjoining Ashfield Street were closed by police officers with enquiries still ongoing.

However, there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received reports of a road crash on Hawthorn Street, Glasgow at around 1.35am on Sunday, March 6.
