Cops continue hunt for upskirting pervert believed to have flashed commuters on East Kilbride night train

A man who is believed to have flashed passengers on an East Kilbride train is understood to be the same pervert involved in an upskirting incident.

British Transport Police are appealing for information on this man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries in relation to public indecency offences on board a train between Glasgow Central and Clarkston stations.

He is believed to have been travelling to East Kilbride and, as well as indecently exposing himself, used his phone to take pictures of a woman as she stood in the aisle of the train.

Both incidents happened between 9.50pm and 10.05pm on Saturday, February 9.

The suspect left the train at Clarkston station; however officers believe he originally intended to travel to East Kilbride.

The man is described as white, aged between 40 and 50 years old, of average build and wearing a light coloured baseball cap, a khaki green jacket, a green scarf and blue jeans.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 727 of 09/02/2019.
