Cops moved on dozens of weekend lockdown rule breakers from a Scots beauty spot after giving advice about coronavirus rules.
Officers discovered around 50 people who had planned to camp for the weekend at Mennoch Pass in Dumfries and Galloway.
They were from outside the area and breaking regulations to combat the virus.
Police Scotland had issued stern warnings ahead of the Easter Weekend for people to remain within their own council area.
The Scottish Government has recently changed the 'stay at home' message to 'stay local' as restrictions begin to ease amid more Scots being vaccinated against the deadly disease.
But travel outside your own council area is still banned with 'stay local' being the message until April 26.
A statement issued by Dumfries and Galloway division read: "Whilst out on patrol yesterday in the Mennoch Pass our officers found a large number of people who had travelled from out with our region to #DumfriesandGalloway.
|Approximately 50 people who had intended camping for the weekend were reminded of the current guidelines prior to them leaving the area.
"Our officers will continue to visit local beauty spots to encourage people to #StaySafe.
"Please follow the The Scottish Government guidelines as we ease out of lockdown."
While cases and deaths of coronavirus have been falling in Scotland, government and health chiefs fear there could be a surge in the virus by too much public mixing.
