Cops close off Glasgow bridge due to 'concern for person'

A bridge in Glasgow has been sealed off this morning over a 'concern for person'.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to the Victoria Bridge near the Clutha Bar in the city at around 9am on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services raced to the River Clyde where they closed off the bridge to deal with the ongoing incident.

Drivers in the area are being urged to use alternative routes while cops deal with the situation.

The public are also being asked to stay away from the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance at the Victoria Bridge in Glasgow following a report of a concern for person.

"The south side of the bridge is currently closed."
