Cops have closed off an area in Edinburgh ’s city centre after a man was seriously assaulted.
The 24-year-old male victim sustained injuries to his chest and face after the incident in the early hours of Friday morning on Queensferry Street Lane.
He attended Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and anyone with information is asked to come forward by calling 101 and quoting incident number 416 of June 21.”
