Cops charge teenager following chaotic George Square scenes at Rangers title party

Another arrest has been made following the chaotic scenes at George Square on Saturday May 15 as Rangers fans gathered to celebrate the clubs title win.

Police today confirmed a 17-year-old had been arrested and charged in connection with the disorder in the city centre.

He has been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The total number of arrests is now sits 41 as one fan was also arrested near Ibrox.

Thousands gathered in the centre of Glasgow during fan celebrations and 47 injuries were sustained by officers policing the disturbance.

A Police Scotland statement said: "A 17-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"He has been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
