Cops called to Scots airport after alleged drug offences on Ibiza flight

Police were called to Glasgow Airport on Monday afternoon to meet a flight from Ibiza after a man was alleged to have committed drug offences.

The plane, understood to be a Jet2 flight, touched down around 2pm yesterday and was met by officers.

A 50-year-old man is now the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal for alleged drug offences.

Police Scotland confirmed they were called to meet the flight on its return from the popular party island.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 50-year-man is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged drugs offences after police were called to meet a flight from Ibiza to Glasgow Airport around 2pm on Monday, 15 May 2023."

The Daily Record has contacted Jet2 for comment.
