Cops called to 'disturbance' in Wythenshawe - and find ammunition

Police responding to an early morning disturbance in Wythenshawe uncovered a 'quantity' of ammunition.

It was while officers were 'carrying out enquiries' about the disturbance that the discovery was made, police said.

Officers were called to Hucklow Avenue in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

They were called at around 4am, a GMP spokesman said.

The Tactical Aid Unit were later pictured going in and out of a block of flats at the junction with Heartwood Road.

A Crime Scene Investigation van was also spotted at the scene, while a police officer stood guard outside the flats.
