Cops called in after teenage girl approached by driver in Aberdeen

Cops have been called in after a driver approached a teenage girl in the street in Aberdeen.

The girl was approached by the man, who was driving a small black car, as she walked in Aberdeen this morning.

At around 11.20am this morning, Sunday, May 16, while she was in Mid Stocket Road, near to Raeden Park Road, the man drove near to her and tried to engage her in conversation.

No physical contact was made and the man, who is described as being black skinned and between 20 and 30 years old, then drove off

And officers are now appealing for witnesses ton the incident and the driver of the car, which is described as being small and black, possibly with tinted windows.

Detective Sergeant Craig Currie said: "I would like to reassure the community that our officers are doing everything they can to identify the person involved.

"We do not yet know what this man's intentions were, however his conduct was of sufficient concern to contact police.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have saw this car and the occupant, or any motorists who may have being driving in the area and may have captured the incident on dashcam footage to get in touch."

Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1667 of Saturday, May 16.
