Cops called in after group of thugs vandalise Falkirk area nursery

Police in Falkirk are on the hunt for a group of young thugs after a nursery was trashed over the weekend.

It's believed four teens, three boys and a girl were seen wrecking a shed and throwing paint about the garden of Stenhousemuir Primary School Nursery, leaving it unusable for the kids returning today.

It's the second nursery in the district to be hit by vandals in the space of a week.

Taking to Facebook, Stenhousemuir Parent Council said: "This is getting beyond ridiculous.

"They have ripped off the shed door, splattered paint everywhere and basically trashed the wee kids garden."

Extra officers, including those on horseback, have been deployed to the Larbert and Stenhousemuir areas in recent weeks to tackle anti-social behaviour.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.35pm on Sunday, 13 June, 2021, police received report of vandalism at a premises on Rae Street in Stenhousemuir. Enquiries are ongoing."
