Cops attend incident at Grangemouth high school after man enters building

Police raced to a school in Falkirk today after a man entered the building.

Officers attended the incident, the nature of which is not known, at Grangemouth High School in the town at lunchtime today.

One police car remains in attendance.

No one was injured and the man was challenged by staff.

A spokesperson for Falkirk Council, said: "A male entered the school earlier today at lunchtime.

"He was challenged by staff and was escorted off school premises by the on-campus police officer."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.35pm on Tuesday, 4 May, we received a report of a man acting suspiciously at Grangemouth High School on Tinto Drive.

"There is no risk to staff or pupils and enquires into the incident are ongoing."
