Cops ask for dashcam footage in search for missing man last seen 100 miles from home

Cops have urged drivers to come forward in the search for a missing man who vanished nearly three months ago.

Patryk Lipinsk i, from Bathgate, West Lothian, was reported missing with red Hyundai i20 was found in Ballachullish, in the Highlands on September 5.

Huge searches have been undertaken but no trace of the 21-year-old has been found.

Police have now appealed for drivers on any of the major roads between the towns on the night to get in touch with police.

A statement from Highlands and Islands police division today read: "Patryk is known to have travelled to the Highlands in the early hours of Sunday, 5 September and was last seen wearing a blue “Paul & Shark” jumper with yellow and red writing and shark logo. He was wearing blue jeans and dark coloured training shoes.

"The vehicle Patryk’s was driving, a Red Hyundai i20 registration mark SA10 KNM, was found parked in a layby on the A82, near to Ballachulish.

"Officers are appealing to anyone who was driving on the A82/A84/A85 between the hours of 1am and 4am on Sunday, 5 September who may have seen Patryk or his car to contact them.

"In particular, any motorists with dash cams are asked to check their footage as it could assist our enquiries.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0799 of 5 September, 2021."
