Cops arrest 42 football fans after Rangers' Europa League clash with Feyenoord

Dutch police have arrested 42 football fans following Rangers' clash with in the last night.

Officers cuffed a number of supporters close to the in Rotterdam following several disburbances.

The majority of those detained were Dutch, a Rotterdam police spokesperson told the NL Times .

However, Dutch cops did reveal that one person from Scotland was arrested for being drunk in public.

Arrests were made over a variety of incidents including lighting fireworks, public intoxication, and selling items illegally.

Police chiefs said there were no major incidents during the match.

The arrests came as the Record told how Gers fans were attacked by rival fans while drinking in a cocktail bar in the Rotterdam Hilton .

It's believed Feyenoord thugs launched chairs at the bar's glass windows and doors from the street following the match which ended 2-2.

A day earlier fans brawled in Amsterdam ahead of the game which saw police break up a scrap outside a bar where Rangers fans had gathered in Dam Square.
